Description:

My Testimony About the Unjust Imprisonment of My Former Associates by the Chinese Government My name is Tahir Imin, and I am a Uyghur activist living in the United States. Today, I come to you with a heavy heart, as I recently received devastating news. Six of my former business associates in the Uyghur homeland—Ismail Qeyyum, Elqem Ilham, Dawut Osman, Yashiq Ahmed, Nurmemet Imin, and Rashidin Gheyret—have been unjustly sentenced by the Chinese government. These sentences, ranging from 12 to 15 years, are based on false accusations of attempting to split the country, simply due to their association with me.
